CoTec seeks technologies and projects capable of:

recovering value from material currently treated as waste;

reducing energy, water or reagent intensity where technically achievable;

reducing the need for new disturbance through the use of existing resources and infrastructure;

supporting recycling and circular supply chains; and

improving recovery from existing mining and processing operations.
Communities and Stakeholders
Projects are developed through engagement with the communities, Indigenous groups, governments, employees and other stakeholders affected by their development.
At Lac Jeannine, this includes engagement associated with the proposed reclamation and restoration of a historical mine-tailings site in Québec.
Governance
CoTec maintains Board-level oversight of investment and capital-allocation decisions and seeks to apply appropriate governance, health and safety, environmental and ethical standards as its projects progress from investment and engineering into operations.
